Mid Urban
May 23, 2007 on 1:20 am | In Illustration | 1 CommentHello all, hope you guys are basking in the delight of an 8-5. Me, I just realized I work the equivalent of 2 full time jobs (I’m bragging). Anyways, amidst all the stress and deadlines looming over my head, I managed to find this piece in the jaws of my old sketchbook. Two years ago I took a trip to Hawaii and the following comic was created on my flight to paradise.

Rejected Image
May 16, 2007 on 7:23 pm | In Illustration | 1 CommentI’m in the process of working on a couple of secret projects. The following was a rejected image for one of these.

The crazy (or stupid) thing is that I don’t really answer to anybody for this project… but I have a partner who is always kicking my ass to go further.
BF Mesh Cap Sample
May 11, 2007 on 5:40 pm | In Apparel | 4 CommentsSo awhile ago, I posted a blog about a Buffalo Soldiers mesh cap. The following was the image I submitted:

And now finally I receive a sample!

Side view…

Embroidery over mesh…

Leather under the bill with embossing…

And some tape.

Overall, I’m really happy with the way the cap is turning out, although there needs to be some adjustments with colors and measurements. Now if I can only get these things to turn out in a week!!!
the YAKUZA
May 4, 2007 on 6:01 pm | In Apparel | 3 CommentsTo all three of you who have been following my blog, you may remember a post about “Donkey Tattoo”. The following is just one of the templates I sent out to be sampled for a Donkey Tattoo series titled, “The Yakuza”.

If you’re wondering what that pattern is, the below is a close up.

This series of caps were done with the amazing Sean Whang.
