West 32nd Street
April 2, 2007 on 6:46 pm | In Illustration |I was given an opportunity to work on some artwork for Michael Kang’s upcoming movie,
West 32nd Street.
So at first there were the quick sketches…
After discussing the concept and comps with Mike, I developed some of the sketches further resulting in a more defined look.
After looking at this round of comps, Mike decided to go with the direction of the last one. From there I did a rendered final. Looking at that version however made Mike and the producers want to see one with more color and photo-realistic portrayals. We sort of went on a journey of trials but in the end came to the second to last version.
After some discussion over the logline, we decided to keep it simple and leave out the graphics. Which brings us to the final poster. I may have to add some more logo’s here and there as they near release but more or less this is it.
Having said that I’m really excited for Mike and his career. If you didn’t catch his last movie, The Motel, you need to see it asap! Check out his website for further details.
